Professor Richard Sawdon-Smith has successfully submitted his work, The Anatomical Man, for the Summer Exhibition 2012 at the Royal Academy of Arts.
The Anatomical Man was selected from over 11,000 entries to the 2012 exhibition and can be found in Gallery X of the Royal Academy of Arts. The Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest open submission art show, displaying work by both established and emerging artists.
Professor Sawdon-Smith’s work will be on display at the exhibition until 12 August. The work hangs alongside work by other established artists such as Gary Hume and Martin Creed.
Commenting on his achievement, Professor Sawdon-Smith said: “I believe it’s great for students to see that staff who teach them on a weekly basis are at the forefront of their profession and receive external recognition for their work”.
